EDS Homecare: promoting positive professional relationships through effective communication
We are only able to provide consistently high levels of personal care because of the quality and dedication of our care team and the systems we have put in place for on-going staff training and development to continually support this. We also invest heavily in technology that helps us to effectively manage our growing customer base and we use the latest location technology that safeguards every carer we employ.
Training & Development
We invest heavily in staff training and development programmes, and working closely with Curve Learning & Development (accredited by Skills For Care) the training includes upskilling members of the care team continuously. All our in-house trainers undertake annual refresher courses to ensure they remain up to date with the latest legislation and practices within health and social care arenas.
Staff Training & Induction
Every new member of staff has a DBS check and then undertake our mandatory training programme, which is refreshed at the required intervals. All staff, regardless of age or ability have equal opportunities to undertake fully-funded NVQs or any relevant qualification that will enhance their personal and professional development; we encourage career prospects and progression within EDS Homecare.
Software Systems
EDS Homecare uses the scheduling software system, Carefree, to manage day-to-day operations. It is a powerful tool to support all the administration and care coordination requirements of the business. Being a cloud-based system it also allows EDS Homecare to meet targets surrounding effective working, GDPR and remote working when necessary. EDS Homecare also uses call monitoring system CM2000 as part of the contract with Derbyshire County Council; this system helps to promote carer and client safety.
EDS Homecare understands that care is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. In order to remain safe, effective and responsive EDS Homecare is supported by a long-established accounting firm, HR and health and safety specialists, IT technical support and an internet phone system.
